A luggage-maker is claiming that they have designed the lightest piece of carry-on luggage on the market.

Stockholm Black smlLuggage makers Cabin Max claim that their newest case, the Stockholm trolley bag is the lightest piece of luggage designed specifically for air travel.

The Stockholm weighs in at just 1.45kg when empty  thanks to its honeycomb nylon construction which Cabin Man claims is ultra-strong and non-tear.

It holds 44 litres of luggage and is guaranteed to fit airline measurement bins and overhead lockers as it exceeds the rigorous size restrictions set by Airline body IATA.

With dimensions of 55x40x20cm, the Stockholm is actually slightly under the allowed limit – to allow for bulging pockets and there is a suitcase-style main compartment.

Cabin Max founder Martin Barwise, said: “We have researched this extensively and are confident this is the lightest trolley bag you can buy which has been designed as optimal hand-luggage.

“We are proud to offer this for sale so travellers can make the most of their allowance and avoid being hit by any unexpected fees at the check-in desk.

“Airlines are now charging up to £150 to check-in any baggage which fail to meet their strict size and weight rules for cabin travel.”

The Cabin Max Stockholm is available from www.CabinMax.com and costs £29.95.
